When it was announced last month, the supple D5000
immediately caught attention with its vari-angle LCD display. This new
twist adds tremendous potential to the DSLR's shooting possibilities,
especially in conjunction with other recent technologies like an HD
video mode and Live View composing.
And this tech-savvy little DSLR is now available for purchase from Calumet. Nikon D5000 kits are in stock, which include the latest edition of the Nikkor 18-55mm VR lens.
This versatile, lightweight lens extends your shooting possibilities by
reducing blur in low light situations. The camera itself boasts 12.3
megapixels, in-camera sensor cleaning, ISO sensitivity up to 3200, and
of course, that limber 2.7" LCD screen.
Instead of being fixed to the back of the camera body, the D5000's
LCD screen flips out, letting you compose from any angle thanks to Live
View. Hold it above your head in a crowd or at a concert. Keep it
waist-level for candid street photography. Shoot from the ground
without getting dirty.
Weighing just over a pound, Nikon's D5000 is a camera that can take any photo and be taken anywhere.

Save Moolah on Mola
Softlight Reflectors for Any System
With
their distinct, multi-tiered parabolic shape and translucent deflector
plate, Mola Softlight reflectors generate a soft-but-strong light. The
light in a Mola's core area is even and feathers out smoothly around
the edges. Along with a slight warming effect, this produces a light
that enhances skin's appearance while downplaying blemishes.
When
you purchase a Mola reflector, you'll save up to $80 with the line's
current mail-in rebates. Any light can be attached by affixing the
appropriate speed ring adapter.
Save $60 - Euro (33.5") - The standard Mola maximizes reflection while reducing the harsh quality of standard light sources.
Save $30 - Demi (22.0") - A scaled-down version of the Euro, perfect for location shoots and restricted spaces.
Save $80 - Mantti (43.5") - The largest Mola, the Mantti maximizes coverage area without becoming unwieldy.
Save $50 - Setti (28.0") - This Mola has a unique, deep shape that increases contrast for an edgier lighting effect.

Hasselblad Flextight
Up to $3000 Off
Hasselblad's
Flextight scanners are pillars of film-scanning, producing digital
files that carry all the detail and subtlety of their physical
counterparts.
Through May 31, trade-in your
current scanner—of any make or model—and receive up to $3,000 off a
Flextight. You'll get results that match the full potential of your
negatives or transparencies and a fantastic price.
Contact an APS representative at your local Calumet store or 1-800-CALUMET for more information on this unique offer.
The Scanner
Each Flextight's vertical design allows for a glass-free path between
the scanner's CCD and your original. Its internal virtual drum system
ensures that focus is even across your entire original—without the soft
areas caused by film's curvature.
The
system's 3F file format acts similarly to RAW, creating a master scan
with 16-bit color. Revisit the 3F file at any time and adjust
processing parameters: it's like re-scanning without the film original.
$2,500 Trade-in Savings - Flextight X1 - 6300 dpi, 60MB per minute
$3,000 Trade-in Savings - Flextight X5 - 8000dpi, 300MB per minute, advanced bath process options
