SILVER CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Conference Location
The PRIMARY SESSIONS for the Silver Conference will be held at the Hillside
Campus of the Art Center College of Design, 1700 Lida Street, Pasadena, CA
91103. The campus is approximately 15 minutes northeast of downtown
Pasadena. The conference continues at the Hilton Pasadena each evening
at the conclusion of events at Art Center.*
Air Travel To The Conference
American Airlines is the official airline for the Silver Conference.
American Airlines offers discounted fares for air travel to and from the
greater Los Angeles area. Reservations, schedules and ticketing
information can be obtained by calling the American Airlines Meeting

Check In/Conference Activities
Silver conference activities will begin on Friday, March 3 from 4 to 9 p.m.
at Art Center College of Design. The programs will continue at the Hilton
Pasadena from 9 to 11 p.m. Registration opens at noon. You can check in at
the Hilton Pasadena or at Art Center. You MUST check into your hotel prior
to arriving at Art Center. You will not be able to check luggage or other
personal items at school.
The program continues at the Hilton Pasadena with Informal Portfolio Sharing, Book Signings by Featured Speakers and an Exhibition of Winning Images from the Silver Photo Contest and a chance to spend time with friends, new and old.
If you are not flying into the Burbank Airport, schedule a flight that arrives before noon. Friday afternoon rush-hour traffic in Los Angeles is typically bumper to bumper. Give yourself plenty of time to travel to the hotel and check in before boarding a shuttle for Art Center. Return Flight advisory for Sunday, March 5: The conference ends at 1 p.m. Allow enough time to return to the Hilton Pasadena, collect your bags and catch the Super Shuttle or a taxi to the airport. Unless you are staying over until Monday, or have made arrangements for a late check-out, you should check out prior to catching the shuttle for Sunday sessions at Art Center.
Portfolio Sharing
The Pasadena Hilton will be set up with tables for portfolio sharing until 11 p.m. both
Friday and Saturday evenings following the daily programs. This
will be an informal opportunity to look at work and discuss techniques,
inspiration and process. Please plan to bring prints of a reasonable size
as a courtesy to others. Light tables and computers will not be available
for viewing.
Shuttle Service Between Hilton Pasadena and Art Center
The Silver Conference will provide shuttle service. Please reserve a space
via email at veronica.cotter@ilford.com A timetable will be included
with your registration packet. Please note that shuttles will run in the
morning and at the end of each day's scheduled programs. No mid-day service
is available. Shuttle service can only be guaranteed to participants who
have registered in advance.
Hotel Information
The Hilton Pasadena is the official show hotel for the Silver Conference.
The Hilton (168 South Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101) is within
walking distance of a vast array of shops, restaurants and recreational
opportunities. Remember to make your reservations early, as rooms at the
conference rate are likely to sell out prior to the reservation deadline of
January 30, 2006. Reservations may be made by calling the Hilton Pasadena
at 1-800-HILTONS (445-8667). Please ask for the "Silver"
group rate when making your reservation. The conference rate is $117.00
plus room tax, parking and incidental charges. Reservations are subject to

Art Center Meal Plan
A Meal Plan that provides breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast on
Sunday is available for $30.00. Please order this plan via email at

Airport Shuttle Service
The Burbank Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the hotel and Los
Angeles International Airport is approximately 45 minutes away (during
light-traffic conditions). Super Shuttle provides 24-hour shuttle service
at both airports. The "curb coordinator" just outside of baggage claim
can assist you with shuttle details. The one-way fare from the Burbank
airport to the Pasadena Hilton is $16.00. Round trip is $32.00. The one-way fare from Los Angeles International airport is $19.00. Round trip is

*Please remember that traffic in the greater LA area can be challenging. Give yourself enough time to arrive at your destination. **Recommended airport for the greatest convenience is Burbank.
