Copal Press #1 is a large-size self-cocking shutter designed for professional photographers and special aparatus and is superior in performance and durability. Remote-controlled operations, such as with cable release, can be easily performed with this shutter because it incorporates the everset system.
Opening and closing of the shutter blades for focusing, changing of the shutter speeds, and changing of aperture stops — all these can be manipulated in any order you like.
Press shutters do not require resetting the shutter after each exposure. They do not include scales, and unfortunately, pre-made scales are not available.
