The Verso A4 power pack operates on either AC, or battery power in combination with Power Dock, and is ideal for both location and studio shooting. Featuring 2400Ws of flash energy for both AC and battery operation (double that of the Verso A2), the Verso A4 is the most powerful flash unit on the market today and the first power pack to offer that much energy when battery operated.
The Verso A4 offers photographers the maximum precision and flexibility with a power control range of seven f-stops (from 2400Ws to 18Ws). The Verso A4 also features automatic stabilization of color temperature and very high repetitive precision for optimum accuracy and consistency. As in the Verso A2, there are two individually (asymmetrically) controlled channels and three lamp connections.
The Verso A4 charges to full capacity in 0.3 – 1.7 seconds (when operating on 230 V mains power), a huge time savings. Every flash from the A4 has absolutely identical brightness. When using with the battery package broncolor Power Dock, the charging time increases to a quick 0.3 – 3.2 seconds.
The shortness of the flash duration is equally impressive: even at full power (2400 Ws), the flash discharge lasts no longer than 1 / 750 s (t.05). Reducing the output by two f-stops (setting 8 / 600 J) yields a flash time of only 1 / 1700 s (t.05). When used in combination with high-powered broncolor light shapers, even fast-moving subjects can be captured.
The Power Dock has a modelling light of total 650 W on 230 V. On mains power the broncolor Verso A4 provides modelling light of 3 x 650 W on 200 - 240 V, and 3 x 300 W on 100 -120 V.
The broncolor Verso A4 is available in an RFS (Radio Frequency System) version, which enables triggering and controlling of the power pack through radio signal. Automatic adjustment to local voltage means that the Verso A4 can be used worldwide.
