Product Features

This amazing backpack lets you access the gear inside of the backpack without taking if off of your back. Allowing you the comfort of a backpack with the convenience and accessibility of a beltpack. The rotation 360º exponentially increases your ability to access your gear as quickly as possible, with the least amount of effort to change lenses and access accessories. Then, just as easily, you can rotate the belt back back into the backpack and out of the way.

Features:

  • Rotation360° vs. Regular Backpacks - A truism of photo backpacks is that the “disadvantage of a backpack is that you have to take if off of your body to access your photo equipment.” The Rotation360° allows you to access your photo gear by rotating a belt pack through a hole in the bottom of the backpack, and return it again when desired, without having to take off the backpack.
  • Supporting a Beltpack - Photographers complain that if you carry a beltpack only, it causes stress on either the front of your body or on your back, depending on where you carry it. With the Rotation360° you do not have to carry an unsupported beltpack on the front or back of your body for hours, which can cause pain. The advantage of the Rotation360° is that it allows you to access your gear in the beltpack only when you need it.
  • Locking Mechanism - There is a locking mechanism on the side of the belt that when pulled allows the beltpack to be rotated to the front of the body. As long as the backpack is being worn, there is no need to re-lock the beltpack, allowing you to rotate it in and out easily. Before taking the backpack off, be sure to lock the beltpack in place.
  • Accessing Your Equipment - FAST - To capture the moment when shooting pictures, switching lenses quickly is critical. Access your gear and take a picture within seconds without having to remove your backpack. When the side lock is released, the belt pack can be rotated to the front of the body quickly.
  • Changing Lenses and Equipment - The distinct advantage of SLR's is that you can change lenses for specific reasons thus, this heightens the need to be able to change lenses and other accessories very quickly. The Rotation360° allows for the changing of lenses with unprecedented speed, and for returning the beltpack into the backpack, if desired.
  • 70-200 2.8 Lens “Rail” on the Beltpack - There is a 'rail' on the side of the beltpack that allows for Modulus components to be attached. The Lens Changer 75 or the Whip it Out can be attached and will hold a 70-200 2.8 or similar lens. Note that when this case is attached, the beltpack will rotate in only one direction through the backpack.
  • Rail on the Backpack - Either side of the backpack has “rails” that can be used to add additional Modulus components, such as the Lens Changers, to expand the backpack's capacity. These extra bags can be used to carry water bottles, extra photo equipment, cell phones, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Backpack is Self Standing & Beltpack Can Be Used Separately - One very important feature is that the backpack is self standing, with or without the beltpack. Another very important feature is that the beltpack can be used separately from the backpack itself, so if you do not need the backpack, you need take only the beltpack.
  • Supporting ONE SLR - Photographers constantly complain about the weight of the cameras on their shoulders or around their necks. With the Rotation360°attachment system, all of the weight is distributed on the shoulder straps, not on your neck or on one shoulder.
  • Camera Strap - We provide a camera strap with the Rotation360° that works with our shoulder harness mounting systems. Our camera strap is very lightweight and portable, with a minimum of bulk.
  • Supporting TWO SLRs - By attaching one camera to either of the shoulder straps, cameras are prevented from slipping or falling off your shoulders. This allows for instant switching from one SLR to the other SLR.
  • Kneeling Down - Kneeling down can be very uncomfortable with a traditional beltpack. With the Rotation360° you can change lenses and then rotate the beltpack back into the backpack, or position it on the side of your body.
  • Additional Photo Gear: Clothing, Food, and Accessories - The upper compartment can be used for additional photo gear, and will hold a Pro-size SLR with lens attached. It can also be used for clothing, food, and other essentials.
  • Carrying a 70-200 2.8 - The inside vertical dimension of the upper compartment is 9.5”, so most longer lenses will fit. Remember, you can also attach the Lens Changer 75 to the rail on the side of the beltpack to carry the same lens.
  • Seam-sealed Raincovers - Both the backpack and the beltpack come with seam-sealed raincovers, which are similar to waterproof rain jackets. Think Tank Photo is currently the only photography bag company to seam seal their raincovers.
  • Tripod or Monopod Mounting - There is a built in tripod/ monopod mounting system. In the top front zippered pocket is an attachment strap for the top of the tripod. The tripod can very easily be attached or detached, and it does not effect the rotation of the beltpack in any way.
  • Large Tripod Mounting - Underneath the bottom of the front pocket is a tripod cup that can be pulled out. Two legs can be supported inside of the cup, allowing for very long and heavy tripods to be supported.
  • Expanding the Size - We supply a special strap with the backpack that allows for additional items to be attached to the bottom of the bag, like a stuff sack filled with clothing and other essential items.
  • Front Pocket - There is also a lower front pocket for essentials like pens, pencils, notepads, filters, instruction books, energy bars, and more.
  • Business Card Holder - A business card holder is located under the handle for easy identification.
  • Rubber Feet - The bottom of the backpack has rubber feet to protect the bottom of the bag and to make the backpack self standing.
  • Shoulder Harness System - The back features an “Air Flow” system that allows air to flow behind your back for ventilation while wearing the backpack.
  • Stretch Pockets - The shoulder straps feature a stretchable pocket on each side that can hold cell phones, Pixel Pocket Rocket, sunglasses, and other essential items you need to get to quickly.
  • Sternum Strap - A sternum strap is included to pull in the shoulder straps on your chest, which increases the comfort and stability of the backpack.
  • Accessory Hold Down Strap - An accessory strap is provided to hold down an SLR with a longer lens like a 70-200 2.8. This keeps it pointing down and prevents it from bouncing or moving on your chest while walking.
  • In The Overhead - The Rotation360° will fit into the overhead bins of the majority of aircraft, with the exception of small commuter jets and CRJ¹s.
  • Under the Seat - The Rotation360° will fit under the seat as well. Most seats have a vertical clearance of 8.5 12,” making under-the-seat storage an option.
