Designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras, this lens incorporates Sigma’s original OS (Optical Stabilizer) function. It is perfect for low light conditions, indoors, at dusk and and reduces the blur caused by hand holding the camera while using telephoto lenses. The lens also features SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and aspherical glass to correct for all types of aberrations. The inner focusing system is suitable for using a petal-type lens hood (included) or circular polarizing filters.
Sigma’s OS (Optical Stabilizer) technology uses two sensors inside the lens to detect vertical and horizontal movement of the camera and compensates for it by moving an optical image stabilizing lens group. The system also detects panning movement of the camera and compensates accordingly for camera shake when shooting moving subjects such as cars and sports.
