Profoto 5-foot and 7-foot reflectors are two large umbrella-like reflectors. Each reflector gives a unique hard light, but since the light source is large the light appears soft with a unique brilliance. In addition to this, both reflectors give a star shaped highlight in a subject's eye. Both the Profoto 5 and 7-foot reflector have two focusing positions: Spot position gives a directed parallel light from a large light source. This position gives a hard light with a unique wrapping quality that also could be perceived as a soft light with a distinct crisp appearance. Wide position gives a 100 degree light that makes it possible to light a large area evenly. Thanks to the size the Profoto 5 and 7 foot reflector offer very high efficiency: In spot position, the Profoto 5 and 7-foot reflectors put out f/45. In the wide position, the Profoto 5-foot reflector gives f/16, while the Profoto 7-foot reflector produces an extra stop of light at f/22.
