The COOLPIX P80 is a stylish high-performance compact camera that harmoniously integrates a 10.1 mega pixel CCD image sensor with Nikon’s innovative EXPEED digital image processing and an 18x optical Zoom-NIKKOR lens 27-486mm (35mm equivalent). Combined with Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) and a light sensitivity range up to ISO 6400, the COOLPIX P80 enables you to capture vibrant, clear and steady images in a range of conditions whether low light, fast moving subjects or at a distance.
The P80's intuitive command and mode controls give you the creativity of a D-SLR with simple COOLPIX functionality. The large high resolution 2.7" LCD monitor with anti-reflective coating and wide viewing angle make composing and reviewing your photos a snap while an eye level electronic viewfinder helps you out in challenging lighting conditions. Shoot as many as 30 consecutive pictures at up to 13 frames per second courtesy of the all-new Sport Continuous Mode* (*at 3MP and smaller resolution).
The P80 also offers a selection of 15 different scene-optimized and movie modes including the ability to shoot pictures in both black and white and color simultaneously. Nikon’s enhanced Face-Priority AF automatically finds and focuses on up to 12 people’s faces within one frame producing clear, crisp portraits wherever the subjects are positioned in the frame.
