This Lee selection of star filters has been developed to offer the most creative options when positioning starbursts on highlights in a shot. The Star Grad, Star Segment and Star Spot enable the pattern of starbursts (or a single starburst) to be accurately manipulated by the photographer without loss of sharpness or contrast and without image degradation — the clarity of the filter background ensures this. The unique design of these filters, used with the rotating facility of the Lee Filter Holder, gives the photographer a level of control and creative freedom which is unsurpassed. Stars go only where they are needed. The Star Spot provides highlights in a particular area of the filter; the Star Segment has a defined portion of it s surface with stars and the rest is clear, while the Star Graduate changes from stars to clear diagonally across the filter surface.
