The large capacity (30GB) Hard Disk Drive (HDD) in the JVC Everio hard drive camcorder can record over 7 hours of DVD quality video in ULTRA FINE mode and just over 37 hours in economy mode. The redesigned image processor for Everio G series incorporates 6 digital noise reduction systems to improve the S/N ratio by about 30% (3dB) over previous models.
To safeguard the Hard Disk Drive from shocks and vibrations, Everio G camcorders incorporate polymer shock absorbers to effectively dampen vibrations and a Gravity Sensor System (Drop Detection)that automatically turns off camera power and disengages the writing head to avoid damage to the disk.
The Everio has a slot for SD Memory Cards (sold separately) so you can store videos and stills and SDHC Memory Cards are also supported for higher capacity and higher speed. Open the LCD and you're ready to shoot in about 1 second. The built in flash or video light automatically illuminates the scene when you shooting under insufficient lighting conditions.
The Data Battery allows you to check the remaining battery power by percentage and remaining recording time in minutes at the touch of a button. A built in sliding lens cover protects the lens when the camera's not in use. The large high-resolution multi-coated, multi-aspheric element 10x zoom lens provides exceptionally sharp and pure color images. Advanced shooting mode lets you easily select from Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, Spotlight, Snow, Sports, Portrait, Twilight and Auto/Manual settings, allowing you to choose the right exposure or shutter speed automatically. Additional advanced photo features include: Auto Exposure Bracketing and a Histogram display.
