The 81A is a warming filter used to slightly decrease the color temperature. It can be used to balance Type B (3200°K) films when using photoflood lamps (3400°K).
Calumet Multi-Coated filters minimize flare and ghost imaging in situations where unwanted light falls on filter surfaces. The result is an average light transmission of over 97 percent, producing sharp contrast and well-balanced color. MC filters are highly recommended for obtaining the performance inherent in multi-coated camera lenses.
