The unique 180º folding design allows the GT1550T to fold up to a mere 16.1" while being able to unfold to a maximum height of 57.5". It also is made of 6X Carbon fiber which maximizes rigidity, vibration absorption, and lightweight performance.
The GT1550T is suitable for compact digital cameras and DSLRs, and even lightweight camcorders. When used with an SLR or DSLR, the Traveler can handle lenses up to 200mm.
Replaces the G1155T.
Features
- Anti Leg Rotation system - allows the tripod to be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the twist locks on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually.
- Rapid Column - center column locking collar above the tripod shoulder makes it easier to adjust the column quickly. Series 1 and above are built with an anti-rotation grooved center column for improved stability.
- Reversible Column - easily invert the column for an alternative shooting angle or for macro work
- Ground Level Set - allows you to remove the center column to save weight and get the camera closer to the ground. Uses existing components: the upper disc with reversible 1/4 - 3/8 bolt and the column hook assembly: Remove column and fix the disk directly to the upper casting using the column hook. No tools needed.
- Hook - allows you to attach a weight to the bottom of the center column for stabilization
