The Glidecam Gold System is a professional body-mounted camera stabilization system designed for cameras weighing from 13 to 40 pounds. The Glidecam Gold System incorporates advanced engineering and precision machining, making it the most sophisticated system in its price range. It features the Gold Series Arm and Vest which allows the camera operator to walk, run, go up and down stairs, shoot from moving vehicles and travel over uneven terrain without any camera instability or shake. The Gold Series system works by isolating your body's motion from your camera, while your camera is balanced in a relatively motionless and isolated state.
Features such as a fully adjustable vest, lightweight titanium coil spring arm and vest connectors, drop-in dovetail camera plate, precision gimbal, adjustable x-y Head assembly and a "no tools" adjustable design make the Glidecam Gold Series one of the most capable camera stabilization systems on the market.
The NP-1 Style Base for the Glidecam Gold Sled accepts up to three NP-1 Batteries. These batteries deliver 12 volts to the base (for the monitor) and either 12 or 24 volts (switchable) to the head for use with video or film cameras. The Base incorporates one BNC Video out connector, one 12/24 volt power switch, three circuit breakers and two 4-pin ?Lemo? style OB304 video/12 volt power out connectors. The Glidecam Gold Sled monitor mounting bracket can be rotated 180 degrees, with no-tools adjustment so the monitor is viewable during low mode operation.

An easy to replace soft foam covers the handle grip.
- Precision Head - Offers a variety of input options and has built in video in/out with a custom designed video distribution amp installed for clear video signals. The Head also incorporates a drop in style dovetail camera plate for quick front to back balance.
- Dyna-Elastic Arm - Six titanium springs allow the Gold Arm to handle camera loads of 13 to 40 pounds. Its combined camera and sled carrying capacity ranges from 31 to 56 pounds.
- Gold Sled - Incorporates sophisticated engineering and precision machining to make it lightweight and strong enabling it to hold any video or film camera weighing from 13 to 40 pounds.
