The FS100 is one of Canon's first and most affordable Flash Memory camcorders. Flash Memory allows you to record video to an SDHC memory card and when it comes time to view your video, the card is simply placed into a memory card reader in a computer or HDTV for instant viewing. In addition you'll get the FS100's Canon Exclusive features such as the Canon 48x Advanced Zoom, DIGIC DV II Image Processor, combined with a 1.07 Megapixel CCD image sensor. The FS100 also offers Image Stabilization and a 2.7" Widescreen LCD.

The Canon DIGIC DV II Image Processor, designed specifically for HD, is the next generation of Canon's exclusive DIGIC DV signal processing technology. The DIGIC DV II processor ensures optimal image quality for both still and video even though they have different color requirements. The FS100 has many advanced photo features which give you the best of both video and photos. The same Megapixel CCD that ensures sharp, vivid video also enables you to shoot five 1152 x 684 resolution digital still images per second. Like any good digital still camera, the FS100 lets you choose from a range of exposure modes: Auto mode, AV (aperture priority) mode, TV (shutter priority) mode and P (program) mode.
For the best exposure for various situations, the FS100's Program AE mode will automatically adjust the settings to compensate for the conditions and subject. Choose from Portrait, Sports, Night, Snow, Beach, Sunset, Spotlight and Fireworks. With the Level and Grid Marker features, it's easy to keep your camera level and compose your shots for more professional looking video. The FS100 comes in a choice of three colors, Moonstone Silver, Navy Blue and Wine Red.
