This CLI-8Y yellow dye ink is part of Canon's ChromaLife100 system through which your printed photos will resist color fading. Allowing you to enjoy long-lasting beautiful photos displayed in a typical indoor environment.
The combination of these dye inks and Canon Photo Paper Pro or Photo Paper Plus Glossy helps resist fading for up to 30 years when displayed in a glass frame in indoor locations without direct sunlight or other high intensity light. Up to 100-years of album life may be achieved with Canon Photo Paper Pro, Photo Paper Plus Glossy, Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss and Glossy Photo Paper when used with ChromaLife100 inks. Also, photos printed using ChromaLife100 inks on Photo Paper Pro will retain sharp edge definition, even after exposure to high temperatures and humidity.
