The advanced circuitry of the Esprit Digital 750 ensures delivery of a constant color temperature, regardless of power selected — over 6 f/stops. This color consistency also extends from unit to unit, making it possible — and practical — to illuminate a subject with Esprit Digital 750 units that require minimal post-production work.
The Esprit Digital 750 also features the proven Bowens Capacitor Switching System. This allows power to be adjusted from 750 to 500 to 250w/s. Switching out banks of capacitors increases the overall power range of the unit to 7 f/stops, from 750 to just 7w/s. It also delivers faster flash durations and shorter recycling times.
Further evidence of this unit's precision controls can be seen on its convenient, "digital interface" control panel:
- A functional LED display allows power control in 1/10 f/stops over a 6 f/stop range. This coincides with today's digital flash meters
- Modeling lamp control modes include full power, proportionate with flash, or independent
- Variable auto-bracketing can be set anywhere from 1/10 to 9/10-stop and can be sequenced with the + exposure first of the - exposure first
- Other convenient control panel functions include a switchable slave cell, a test button and ready indicator, and audible (and switchable) recycling indicator and display-brightness setting
