The 701RC2 is a small, lightweight, fluid video head capable of accommodating payloads up to 9lbs, and is ideal for setups such as a fully loaded Panasonic DVX100A, Sony PD170, and Canon GL2. One of the most compact and lightweight 2-movement heads found on the market, the 701RC2 was designed principally to support the latest digital video equipment, including Mini DV and prosumer/professional grade DVCAMs. In addition, the 701RC2 is well-suited for still photography cameras with medium and long telephoto lenses.
The 701RC2 has a fixed length pan bar with a soft handle and separate locking mechanisms. It is also equipped with a sliding quick-release video plate system and a fixed counter-balance spring to perfectly position uneven loads.
The 055XV is a 3 section aluminum tripod with non-glare finishing and dark green painted aluminum components. Built with an ergonomically improved design, the 055XB is compact and light in weight. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks have also been greatly improved. Leg angle presets allow the camera to reach all intermediate heights from minimum-maximum extension.
