This video tripod kit comes with the Manfrotto 501HDV Pro Video Head, Calumet 7500 tripod, and tripod bag.
Inside the 501HDV is a fixed counterbalance spring (set for a typical weight of camera plus accessories of 5.5lbs) that helps ensure both smoother tilt movements and greater equipment safety even when tilt locks are inadvertently left off. The easy-to-reach on/off switch allows the counterbalance system to be disengaged or re-engaged for different filming setups.
On the outside, the 501HDV has been designed for improved ergonomics with locks and knobs that allow a more solid grip and better fingertip control. The 501HDV also features separate pan and tilt locks, gradual tilt friction adjustment system, flat base (with standard 3/8" thread), quick release camera plate and repositionable pan bar.
The 7500 tripod features three-section legs with convenient quick-release leg locks for fast setups, three-position leg-angle adjustments with spring-loaded locks to facilitate different height requirements, a split-shaft center column that allows for low-angle shooting and three foam leg covers that offer over-the-shoulder carrying comfort. It also comes with a weight hook at the bottom of the column for attaching sand bags or weights for additional stability. Also built into the tripod is a spirit level for quick and easy leveling on uneven terrain.
