The Broncolor Mobil A2R is an entirely battery-supplied power pack with 2 lamp base outlets. Its light weight and compact dimensions make the Mobil A2R ideal for location shoots, delivering up to 130 flashes per charge at full output and 170 flashes in the normal charging mode. Power distribution can be set to symmetrical or asymmetrical, depending on your requirements. The flash energy of the Mobil A2R has a control range of 4 f-stops in 1/10 intervals, distributed to 1 or 2 lamps. With two lamps and in the asymmetrical mode, a control range of up to 6 f-stops is available.
The fully illuminated LCD control panel, LED display and silicone keyboard is resistant to dust and scratches and provides detailed data regarding the selected output values. When the output is reduced, the excess energy is discharged internally. The result is that you always flash with the output you have selected. The visual fire-down indicator shows whether all connected flash tubes have fired and lets you know when the unit is ready for the next shot.
The Mobil A2R is also ideal for use in the studio as well. When connected to one Mobilite 2 lamp its 12 V halogen modeling light delivers up to 100 W. You can plug-in 100 W per lamp when operating with two Mobilite 2 lamps. The A2R has an automatic switch-off feature with time delay for the modeling lamp, which protects the battery and increases the number of flashes per charge. When plugged into a wall outlet, you can simultaneously flash and recharge the battery. The Broncolor charger makes it possible to recharge the battery via a plug in the unit or outside of the power pack.
The Mobil A2R is compatible with all Broncolor power packs, monolights and can be used with all Broncolor lamps up to 3200 J (without modeling light). The supplied accessory adapter makes it possible to use the full range of Broncolor reflectors: from open reflectors and textile area lamps in different versions and sizes up to a broad range of special lamps.
