The HVR-A1U 1080i HDV camcorder provides real 1080i HD acquisition, with superb image quality and comprehensive functionality for professional use, in a handy camcorder form factor. The HVR-A1U features a newly developed 1/3 inch C-MOS imager, which is capable of 3 mega-pixel still images.

Combining high quality Optical Zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Lens and Sony's new 14 bit A/D and DXP digital Extended Processor, the A1U gives precise image acquisition with superb detail and clarity. The HVR-A1U records this exceptional imagery onto a DVCAM mini cassette using the HDV 1080i format.

CRC-18 is tailored to fit Mini-DV and Hi-8 camcorders. Fabricated from waterproof material, the cover features a crystal clear TPU panel which allows control monitoring and viewing of the LCD screen at any angle. The cover slips quickly over the camera to protect it from sudden showers and is secured by quick pull drawstrings. It features a designated viewfinder sleeve and when using a tripod you can seal the bottom opening.
