To ensure that sync voltage produced by strobes does not exceed the camera manufacturer's limits, the LVT can take up to 300 volts from any power pack and drop that voltage down to 6 volts protecting your equipment from dangerous voltage spikes. When packs are wired together on one sync line, where it is important for the sync voltages to all be identical, the LVT will take the sync voltage from every pack in line and drop it to a safe 6 volts.
