The AC57 Power Adapter allows the use of an external Canon battery pack when the 580EX / 580EX II Speedlites are mounted inside an AC7 RF Shield (sold separately).

The battery pack cable is routed to a position that reduces EMI interference and increases the range and reliability of your 580EX or 580 EX II / AC7 configuration.
