User Ratings & Reviews:
With the Leica 50mm f/1.4 Summilux-M Aspherical Lens, you can get excellent performance with all types of apertures and focus settings. It could be for applications with available high-contrast light, close range shots or capturing landscapes in an extended field depth and so on. This lens has been created by combining all the available latest lens technologies such as anomalous partial dispersion, aspherical lenses,  glass with higher refraction index and floating element.  Hence a new standard has been set by the Leica 50mm Summilux Manual Focus Lens in this class of focal length.
  • The Leica 50mm Summilux Manual Focus Lens is used in reportage photography in abundance because of its f/1.4 astonishing speed which enables the use of shutter speeds even in situations with poor lighting conditions
  • The “6-bit” coding updated on the Leica 50mm Summilux Manual Focus Lens allows the digital M8 camera to identify the lens used and store information in image metadata
  • No changes are made by the camera for RAW pictures, but as an optional choice the camera can apply software based vignetting correction as a final step.
