The Proteus cage ships with Cinevate's universals rails blocks (2) and a standard 1/4" 20 thread tripod plate.

The Cage was designed to serve many needs expressed by Cinevate's customers. First of all, it serves as a light, stiff and rock solid handle for your 35mm adapter, HD cam, or ENG cam rig. You can mount up to three of our universal rails blocks allowing the mounting of additional 15mm rails on either the side or top of the rig. Additionally we've provided mount points for our allen key holder and "hot" shoe (not actually hot) mounts in case you need to mount mics, wireless transmitters etc. to your rig. If that's not enough, the top bar is designed to accept sliding clamps to secure a small laptop up top.

The unit is 100% computer machined from aluminum, computer bent and then powder coated black for a lifetime of use. Don't be fooled by its appearance, the cage is only .85kg, or 1.8 lbs in weight and will support rigs well over 40lbs if required.
