Zoom Range for All Situations
The PowerShot A2400 IS digital camera features a 5x optical zoom lens that delivers outstanding optical performance and versatility. The zoom range is a 28mm to 140mm (35mm equivalent), designed to capture a wide variety of subjects.

Intelligent  IS
The PowerShot A2400 IS features Digital IS (image stabilization), which recognizes the main subject and automatically applies the best correction for camera shake.
For portraits, blur reduction processing is performed to insure a sharp image, with moving subjects captured in three successive shots, with the clearest image automatically saved. For landscapes, cityscapes and other still scenes, the camera captures three successive shots quickly, then composes each one into a single clear image.

Accessory Free Scene Mode Effects

The PowerShot A2400 IS creates photographic effects through Scene Modes, without the need for special lenses or accessories. The one step camera setting includes Fisheye Effect for the classic convex distortion, Toy Camera Effect that recreates a toy camera or pinhole look and Monochrome which adds a distinct single tone effect to the photo.

Exterior Help Button for On Screen Guidance
The PowerShot A2400 IS digital camera is designed for fun and ease of use, even for beginners. The Help Button located on the camera’s exterior brings up the help menu at anytime, right on the LCD screen. Users can scroll through a variety of topics that answer questions with clear explanations, offer helpful shooting advice, and show diagrams highlighting the position of any buttons required as part of the response.
