The Billingham Photo Vest has long been a favorite of discerning photographers. This updated version of the classic Billingham Photo Vests incorporates all of the features needed for on-the-go shooters and is great for airline travel. Designed to carry a serious amount of equipment securely and with style, the Billingham vest is equally at home when photographing a wedding or hiking up a mountain cliff.

Billinghams’ Photovest is made from a water resistant, plain weave textured nylon material. This material was chosen because of it’s light weight and extreme durablity with machine washable convenience. Rather than traditional metal zippers which can be quite harsh on camera gear when worn around the neck, the vest boasts heavy-duty plastic coil zips because of their excellent reliability and long life.  To further protect your gear, zippers are covered with a fabric strip, which prevents them from coming in contact with cameras’ LCD view screens.

Special attention has been taken to the positioning, size, and shape of the pockets on the Billingham vest. Four spacious pockets are located just under the arm. These can comfortably accommodate long lenses (up to 600mm) and zip close to prevent jostling. In addition, four large pockets are located on either side of the vest to hold extra camera bodies.  Many other well needed pockets, both with and without zips are located at important locations on the vest. These can carry a variety of essential items like passport, memory cards, and flashes.  Fully functional epaulets snap securely, while a slightly padded shawl collar offers you protection in the field.

An interior snap, located about mid-point of the vest allows the vest to be partially closed, to aid in air circulation when you don't want to zip the vest closed completlely. Two mesh lined vents across the upper rear of the vest also aid in air circulation.

Billinghams' vest is cut a bit shorter than most. This design aids in eliminating the problem of items bouncing off the wearers legs when walking or climbing.  Another key design feature is that both sides of the Billingham vest feature identical layouts to the pockets, inside and out. This helps with more even weight distribution and makes using the vest more intuitive…no more items getting lost in oddly placed pockets. The interior of the vest is fully lined in black nylon material.
