The SuperModel product line provides photographers with an efficient means to generate higher resolution, first-generation digital images with a 4x5 digital back. Using Kodak CCD technology, the sensor is improved from past models. The backs are faster and rated light sensitivity is as high as ISO 3200 at any resolution setting.

Image noise reduction, resulting in finer grain, is attributed to more data samples per spatial unit because of the 14-bit Data Converters that are standard on the SuperModels. The lower dark current produced by the new K-2 CCDs have also noticeably improved the image quality.

The manufacturer offers a battery-operated Portability Option and special adapters for Mamiya RB and RZ-67 or Fuji GX680 cameras. Seamless panoramic and rollout images can also be captured using Better Light's unique Pano/WideView Adapter.
