CALUMET CELEBRATES NEW STORE WITH GRAND OPENING WEEK
New Location with State-of-the-Art Showroom and Expanded Services!

Cambridge, MA, September 27, 2012 – Calumet Photographic is very excited to announce the
Grand Opening Celebration of their new retail location at 150 First Street in Cambridge. This
brand new, state-of-the-art facility features many customer-friendly amenities and services, and
we are looking forward to showing it off from Sunday, October 7 through Saturday, October 13.

“Calumet has been serving the needs of Boston-area photographers since 1996, and we are
proud to have created this stimulating new environment for the local photo community to shop
and mingle,” said Brian Carroll, President of Calumet Photographic. The new facility features an
interactive lighting section, expanded rental department, photo gallery, classroom and
complimentary Wi-Fi and coffee bar. We are also extremely pleased to offer a full range of
high-quality photofinishing services, with prints up to 24 x 36", as well as other creative photo
products such as photo cards, calendars, posters and books.

The Grand Opening Celebration will kick off on Sunday, October 7 with a full week of savings on
a wide variety of photographic products. Calumet will also be honoring these prices during this
time at all 12 U.S. Calumet locations, as well as at calumetphoto.com and the direct sales

From Thursday, October 11, to Saturday, October 13, there will be over 35 manufacturer
representatives in the store from such noted photographic companies as Bowens, Canon,
Epson, Hasselblad, PhaseOne, Leica, Nikon, Profoto, Tamrac, Tenba and Sony to provide
product demos on their latest products and answer all questions. Also scheduled are three days
of free seminars sponsored by Canon, Epson, Rosco, Sekonic and X-Rite, There will be a
special lighting workshop by award-winning photographer Rick Friedman on Friday evening.

Finally, as a tribute to the Boston Press Photographers Association there will be an exhibit of their “2011 Pictures of the Year” on display during the entire week.

Each of these events is open to the public and free of charge, though seminars are on a
